1. Who we are

Agarwals Professionals Network ("APN", "we", "us") operates this website to build a business-only network for the global Agarwal community. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this site and how we use it.

2. What we collect

When you apply for membership (by creating an account with email or Google and completing your profile), you may provide: your name, email address, surname/gotra, city and country, profession, business or company name, a headline and description of your work, the professional fields you are interested in, optional website/LinkedIn links, and an optional profile photo and cover image. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We also record when you applied and a system-derived eligibility result based on your surname.

Member profiles: once your membership is approved, your profile (name, photo, surname/gotra, city, profession, business, headline, description, fields and links — never your email address) is visible to other signed-in members in the member directory. Forum discussions are public, so your name and profile photo appear alongside anything you post there. You can edit your profile or remove your photo at any time; a removed photo may take up to a day to disappear from caches.

Feedback: if you send feedback through the site we store your message, the page you sent it from and (if you provide it or are signed in) your name and email so we can reply. It is shared only with our team.

Direct messages: messages you send to other members are stored so both of you can read the conversation. They are private between the two participants; our administrators may access them only where needed to investigate abuse or comply with the law.

We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking. Standard, privacy-respecting server and content-delivery logs (for example, IP address and request metadata) may be processed by our hosting providers to deliver and secure the site.

3. Why we use it

We use the information you submit solely to: review your request for membership, communicate with you about access and onboarding, and operate, secure and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing spam.

4. Legal basis

Where applicable law requires it, we process your information on the basis of your consent (which you give by submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in operating and growing a trusted business network. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

5. Where it is stored

Submissions are stored using cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services). Data may be processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. How long we keep it

We retain waitlist information for as long as needed to evaluate and manage your potential membership, and to comply with our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@apnintl.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Children

This is a professional business network intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will revise the date above when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
